Visited the Manila North Cemetery yesterday. Was looking for graves of American's who were buried there in the early 1900's. There are several sections for American Veteran's including the American Legion section, Spanish-American War Veteran's section, and a section for American Teachers who died after 1900. Three former Philippine Presidents are also buried there. The cemetery is clean, by Philippine standards, however still have to contend with burning piles of garbage, used diapers laying around, but the worst is the gang of teenage kids hanging around who are obviously on drugs. From what I understand, this use to be considered one of the nicest cemeteries in Manila. Attachments:

Another place I have not been, most likely worth more than one visit considering the size of it! Thanks for reminding.

darthdract: I agree with you, wasn't the safest place to visit, teenagers on drugs all over the place. One above ground crypt had the Span-Am War Vets plaque busted off, then put into a pile of garbage so a Filipina could use his vault. We are thinking that we should get his plaque and do something with it.

^thats really Sad I hope Mayor Lim, would do something about that. Some Local people here don't respect war vetarans that much compared to other countries.
