Maxine Cook Manger, 92, of Charlotte, died peacefully on March 27, 2013 at The Carriage Club of Charlotte. Born September 11, 1920 in Muscatine, Iowa, Maxine was the daughter of the late Elda Marie Graham and Fay Lee Werner.

Maxine’s philosophy can best be expressed as follows: I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
