I am trying to recreate the fort in minecraft for a multiplayer server, it will be used a pacific war team battle map. We have the necessary plugins for simple versions of cannons, bombs and other weapons along with rigidly moving vehicles (tanks, aircraft and ships) .
Someone on our server calculated that Ft drum would be equal to 300 blocks (each is 1 cubic meter) But our current model is only 59 blocks because a full scale model would dwarf every vehicle we could make. The largest vehicles allowed would be only 120 blocks long and are not used for the team based maps.
The red marked guns are representing the Dual 14inch guns. All cannons currently fire the same shot so I used a Triple gun with 2 barrels removed. It is the only weapon that currently supports a turret. The dual and single guns cannot turn with blocks near them.
The blue marked gun Is supposed to be the Exeter battery that was mounted somewhere in the rear, I cannot find out where the other 2 3inch guns were mounted.
The green is the case mate guns. Instead of two vertically on top I placed a dual weapon.
The yellow would be an AA gun which acts as multipurpose machine gun that can only destroy certain blocks.
I need some help finding where the other 2 guns would be.
I also would like to know if there are any surviving pictures of the messhall and engine room located in the lower levels.
There are only 2 levels underneath instead of 3. The level under the deck only contains access to the launches, casemates and Wilson battery.
The green and gray blocks are supposed to be cannon ammunition but the person who makes the texture modifications broke his PC and needs to get photoshop back to complete it. The yellow blocks are machine gun ammunition. The dark colored blocks are obsidian which is immune to most weapons in game. Only bombs or torpedoes can destroy it with a direct hit.
This would be the bottom level Only the turret bases have been made along with the ammunition storage the rest is empty.
I know that the engine room is at the rear. Apparently the mess hall is right next too the turrets. That strikes me as kinda surprising because I would think that it would be upstairs while dormitories are on this floor to be safer in the case of sudden air attack , although it seems that the armor was never pierced in any of its battles save for the area around the casemates.
