Pare, nakita kita doon ngunit nawala ka na! Hope you are well and I wish we could stay in touch. Unfortunately I lost most all photographic records of my journeys. Is Caballo totally off limits now? I wonder hat has happened to everything since then.

Hi CB,
Well Caballo Island (ex Fort Hughes) has always been restricted but getting permission was easier in the early years and then it became harder and harder as time went by. Now its much harder to get in that usual now that the island became a quarantine so its additional reason for it be stricter.
Sad to hear that your photos go lost? Care to share the reason?
Yes keep in touch and let me know when you are in Manila again.

Pare, I will be in PI permanently in a few years. I am glad to see you back in the field again on The Rock recently. That is where you belong! Most of my photos were digital and the machines they were on have either crashed or are long gone. I still wish I had everything on the old reliable film photography. All my finances have gone into the house near Tagaytay, but I surely hope we will meet again soon. Keep giving us more of your experiences and knowledge!

FLASHBACK TO THE LEFT NAVY TUNNEL Flashback to 2004-01-26, this is about the left one (north one) of the two remaining accessible Navy tunnels into the Malinta Hill at the former Fort Mills on the island of Corregidor. The Registrar took me around the island the first time and he showed me the two Navy tunnels. W1 the entrance to the left accessible Navy tunnel into the Malinta Hill at the former Fort Mills on the island of Corregidor. W2 the entrance from the inside of the left accessible Navy tunnel into the Malinta Hill at the former Fort Mills on the island of Corregidor. W3 the Registrar from our forum inside the left accessible Navy tunnel into the Malinta Hill at the former Fort Mills on the island of Corregidor.
