The Presidential Library (Malacanang) has a good graphic artist down there at the PCD&SPO (kinda sounds like a railroad, don't it?) and the website is being run by Manuel L. Quezon III, who has an active private interest in WWII matters, and he personal blogs on such things. He also owns and organizes the Philippine Diary Project which is an excellent history resource. Corregidor Historic Society has "partnered" with PCDSPO in the past, and given them permissions as required. Those infographics are vibrant and encourage people who may be coming to grips with learning history a good way to "visualize" things. Thanks for bringing them to our attention. What may not be widely known is that the President Benigno Aquino III is a very well read military buff, with an extensive private library of books on all aspects military and strategic, and not limited to WWII either. He regrets, so I am told, that he has so little time to catch up on his military reading, and is looking forward to the day that he can retire and get back to what he prefers to do. It is fairly well known here that Aquino is also a very active competitive shooter, particularly with a .45 .

Seeing this is the 71st anniversary of the fall of Corregidor , I would like to advise that there is a book online for reading in PDF form . Some one or some member may have made a mention of it about books to read in relation to Corregidor . Anyway , If you punch in University of Michigan Escape from Corregidor you should get Escape from Corregidor by Edgar D. Whitcomb . Edgar was a B17 Navigator , who after training was assigned to Clark Air Base and so the story begins , Batan , Corregidor , and so forth . He's escape to China and return to USA . He later entered politics . Any way for those who want to sus it out online happy reading and give us your comments . Regards Westernaus .

Thank you for giving a bit of his personal side on our good president sir. So far he made things around our military for the better, evidently due to his love on history (including recent events)and seemed pretty much he learned to apply a lot of lessons from there. I am one proud Filipino on his performance and I'm hoping his legacy would teach our future politicians and government servants to give what is due to us, the people and the whole nation. I will visit the Malacanang Library someday.

May 6, 2014 was the 72nd anniversary, unless you are using "new math."
