Hi, I am Mindy Kotler Smith. I work in Washington and have a focus on Japan and how its war legacy affects contemporary affairs. This is my blog, americanpowsofjapan.blogspot.com Through marriage, I am a descendant of a POW who was on Corregidor and died in Bilibid. He is buried in the American Cemetery in Manila and the whole family visited him two years ago. Many of you might already know me, as I fiercely fight for the American POWs of Japan in Washington. I look forward to participating. I already deeply admire the work of the members of this forum. The pictures are invaluable!

Hello MK Smith,,,,, and welcome
You are correct the work that these guys do on this forum is stellar and exemplary. Every time I am here I marvel at the extent of their knowledge of this island and it's place in history.
May I please inquire as to who your relative is who is buried in Manila? Upon my next visit I will pay my respects.
Do you know much about him? I would very much like to learn more about him.
I will now visit your blogspot, I hope to hear from you.
