I do believe I blew off the Australian contribution to the Liberation of the Philippines in a different internet site. Paul Whitman took exception to this, and rightly so. So I did some looking into the role of the Australians into the liberation of the Philippines and came upon the case of Major Rex Blow. Major Rex Blow. An Australian who, along with seven other Aussies, escaped from a prison camp on Borneo and made their way to the Philippines where they joined the guerrilla forces. In April 1945 he went back to Australia where he volunteered to return to Borneo to break out the POW's who were left behind. Unfortunately he arrived a few days too late and 2500 Australian and British POW's were marched into the jungle where all but 40 were executed. Of the survivors, 28 emerged from the jungle only to be slaughtered by the Japanese a week after WWII ended

Twelve out of 2500 POWs survive a slaughter! I wonder what the revisionists will make of this atrocity. Those Japs were monsters.

Hey Fortman....Right on....Revisionists or not, I know of nobody that ever charged the Emperor's legions with being "lax" in this field of endeavor. The followers of Der Fueher were very methodical and seemed to be, usually, following a very well, thought out plan in this area, whereas, the Japanese seemed very proficient, acting almost on impulse, in their brutality. A perusal of History, i.e. "Rape of Nanking", Bataan Death March, Railway to Hell, POW Camps in general, Hell Ships, and Manila 1945, might give credence to this line of thought. Just sayin'.....Agan!!!
