The corner of building 127.
Many of the buildings in the row look like this.
There's a space underneath the row of officers quarters.
Approaching the hospital.
A damaged corner of the building.
The hospital's main staircase.
Damage to the wall exposing brick.
This stands in front of the hospital.
One of the pillars that make up the hospital's front entrance.
Another view of the stairs.
After I finished taking a few photos at the hospital I walked down a path and saw this building along the way. Can someone who knows remind me which building this is? I've since forgotten.
A closer view of the same building.
This building is also slightly raised above the ground.
A bright orange growth on the walls.
Next I headed to Bat Cave, which was where I really found out that the flash on my camera was broken. Then I made my way to the Y.M.C.A.
This section of the Y.M.C.A is cleared of brush, but a lot of it was very overgrown.
A pillar sticking out from the brush.
This metal rod almost poked out my eye.
Concrete being held in place by rebar.
This once said Y.M.C.A.
On my way to Battery Ramsay I noticed this chunk of concrete in the "Middleside Field". Is this from Ramsay?
A large piece of Battery Geary on the trail to Battery Ramsay.
Before heading to Ramsay I walked a little further down the path, past the garbage dump to one of the crematoriums.
A number of bricks are scattered around the area.
There's a brick like this near one of the pavilions at Black Beach. If this brick was intact, it would say CALCO.
The crematorium from the other side.
The base of the chimney from the top.
It took me a little while to get up to Battery Ramsay, because I had never been there before and the area was quite overgrown. It would be nice to visit again and spend more time seeing what's really left of this battery.
Gun #1 on it's side.
The stairs and the metal ring are intact here, while the rest of the battery is almost unrecognizable.
Another view of gun #1.
The barrel is resting nearby the carriage.
I noticed a rusty barrel underneath the gun carriage.
My water supply was running low and I had already accomplished most things I wanted for the day, so from Ramsay I headed down to my campsite on Black Beach.
On my way back I saw some repurposed rail ties at Bottomside.
