Hello Willy
You say you have a never ending desire to go to Corregidor, well, take a number and get in line! You have found probably the only website in the world where all of its inhabitants suffer from the same affliction. When we are there, we cannot believe our good fortune to be there. When we are not there, we are all scheming ways to get back. Hopefully this site will help you spend the seemingly eternity of days between your visits.
You have been there. Take comfort, you will be back. You now know what a special place it is and I am happy to see yet another kindred spirit who has a place in his heart for so unique a place that, it seems, only we can appreciate to its fullest.
We all look forward to your pictures and contributions. If ever I again go to Bermuda, I will look for you on the docks.
Welcome aboard.

Thank you very much for such a warm and understanding welcome! Not everyone understands the never ending desire to hurry back to Corregidor. When I visit the Philippines there are friends and family members that fail to see why I need to go to Corregidor on every single visit and believe me it is hard to explain it to them as well. This forum is a fabulous place to be, I have learned everything right here, I fill my iPad full of information for the travels back to Corregidor. I now have all the maps from 1921, 23, 35, 36 etc to help me identify exactly what I am looking at. I truly felt like I had hit the million dollar lottery when I got those digital maps from Paul and could download them right on the iPad. I fill my knapsack with water and food, usually get a delivery by the L300 mini van and then walk back to Corregidor Inn and on the way the treasures that I find are extraordinary. Trip #4 coming in February...3 days/2nights. I live in the royal naval dockyard Bermuda so if you are here by all means look me up so that I can show you around, I am the dockmaster here. Right now we are in the height of our cruise ship season so I'm not getting a lot of "Corregidor time" but I will post many more pictures and thoughts as soon as I can.

Just a quick share for everyone. My socks were blown completely off when I discovered that all these pictures were the same place. I had NO clue that I was standing in 1920's history! WOW...how magical is that

Hey T2....I gotta agree One Hundred percent. I could wallow in these "now and then" photos until Hell freezes over. Never can get enough of it, especially ones depicting sites on our beloved Corregidor. Cheers.

I have another finding, which may not be news at all to some people but enjoyable to me. First of all I would like to thank Paul Whitman for guiding me to share what ever I find no matter how trivial it may appear to me. With that he has encouraged me to "post it all" right here. So thank you Paul for encouraging this freedom to everyone, professional and otherwise! My work is somewhat scrambled and not professional but I encourage anyone to take a small part of a story that once was and just find all the details you can about it, so that you too can live in that moment way back then...
