This is the replica of the second B&W from MacArthur's return. No rails, no traces of wood planking or the gap it covered.

All queries are a great source of inspiration to research our history Fortman. I am very glad that you did, it has kept me up past midnight doing what I love best!

A pleasure T2! Your photos of MacArthur's return sure clinched the argument. EXO: Promote this guy to Buff!

Thank you for the kind words Fortman, I could grovel in this history for hours and hours. I love to step in the exact footprints of our history and 6 inches to left is incorrect! Two months to go to see my beloved Corregidor!

You know, it just may be that these are the same two pilings that were there in 1945. They are exactly the same in appearance, but with a little more wear round the waist as would be expected over the years. I had assumed that the entire dock was a replacement, but perhaps not!

Thank you CB I do agree with you. The savior of these wood piles is the sst shim stock they used to cap the tops as that would rot out quickly when exposed. Under the dock there are still all the concrete piles with rebar bursting out but they certainly look original or 70 + years old.

It appears there are some new add-ons to keep the structure functioning, so you can see both here. I know they use this dock periodically for the ferry run Manila-Corregidor

I guess I had the same thought process to see if this structure was original or not I say it is!
