Hey Fots....Welcome home. I had almost (I said ALMOST!!!!) forgotten just how addicted I had become to those "Fantastic Fots Foto Tours" that were such frequent mainstays in the not too distant past, on this forum. You are, hereby, forbidden to be guilty of these type absences in the future. Okay? The cost of construction, etc, for those Gasoline Storage Tanks, of $16,800, caught my eye. That amount, in today's inflated times, ain't enough to pay the booze tab for the Annual, July 4th, 59th Coast Artillery Beer Bust. lol

Good day okla, I intend to make up for any absences when I return to the Philippines full time. My “To Do” list is continually growing so there are plenty things remaining to check out. I might even get you another sunset photo someday. Here are a couple views of Corregidor Island taken from Bataan. Looking across Manila Bay’s “North Channel” Manila Bay from Bataan to Cavite.

Hey Fots....Any new pics of Bataan Sunsets are, of course, most welcome, but you will be hard pressed to surpass those two that you have already "blessed" this Forum with, especially the one with the huge "Thunderhead" approaching from the South China Sea. The Second one with regular cloud formation is, certainly, a close second, in my "humble". I am sure in my own mind that you took those two photos on the same outing, but I have always pondered as to how long you had to wait for that formidable looking cloud bank to disappear before shooting the second exposure. On second thought, perhaps, the pic with the huge cloud bank was your followup pic. Whatever, those two pics are "eye poppers". Regarding the two new photos of Corregidor, taken from Bataan, I, especially, found the second view of the "Rock" interesting, it being taken from an angle not usually seen on this Forum. As I have mentioned before, you do seem to have an "eye" for this kind of activity. Cheers.

I agree with Okla, that second pic is from an angle I have never seen before and shows nice resolution.
Good job, sir.

Hey BV...Wouldn't you agree that the second photo also shows what a disadvantage the Corregdor defenders were forced to operate under as compared to the Representatives of the Emperor. As I understand it, the Japs had Artillery observers/spotters, etc located even higher up the slopes facing "The Rock" and were looking right down the "good guy's" throats. You talk about being in the center of a "Bulls Eye". Just sayin'.

Okla
The phrase "sitting ducks" definitely comes to mind.
Add to that complete mastery of the sky and your goose is cooked.
