The MOA, Prism Plaza and Libertad areas
I started this thread to show that Manila is alive, lots of things to see, lots of building is going on. It is true there are squatter areas but the influx of people into this city after WWII is astounding and has contributed to that.
Most people I know dread going to Manila. I find Manila interesting and enjoy visiting. Reasons to visit are the embassy, in my case the VA Office, the airport etc. As I got to know the Philippines I was surprised to see all the modern malls in Manila and they have spread to other areas. On the 2nd of April 2019 I had two appointments and walked to the Mall of Asia (MOA) area between the appointments.
U039. I walked first to the Prism Plaza in the greater MOA area and this is one of seven images of this complex.

U053. I’m on my way back to the VA at the Libertad area and here we have an image, the new sign of times in the Philippines. These are the motor bikes of workers and customers to the MOA area, more Filipinos can now afford a motorbike.
U054. Here is another modern structure almost finished near the Prism Plaza and I noticed it on my walk back to the VA.
U055. From near the bridge at the Libertad Pumping Station I saw at least 3 large high rise apartment, condominium complexes, this is one of them.
U056. Here I walk along the Libertad Flood Control Pumping Station towards the Roxas Ave, the former Dewey Ave on my way back to the VA in Manila.
