On my recent vacation, My wife and I spent a day with Mrs. Pvt. James L. Henninge. James passed away in 2007. As we were talking about James his wife said, "he always talked about his Capt. Charles Rambo. James thought very highly of his Capt." Mrs. Henninge pulled out the "Templeman" book and pointed to the page with her husbands name on it. Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Co. page to be exact. To my surprise, I noticed 15 little check marks next to various names including Capt. Rambo. I asked Mrs. Henning if these were the men in James's Platoon, her response was, "I don't know...they were men he knew and talked about."
My hunch is this was James's platoon. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Pvt. James Henninge is from Ohio hence my interest for the Ohio 503rd Project. And breaking down the 503rd into platoons would be a cool project.
Below are the names that Pvt. Henninge checked off.
Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Co. Capt. Charles R. Rambo 2nd Lt. William J. Dunklin M-Sgt. Charles F. Haar T-Sgt. Alton W. Davis T-4 Bernard Grabert T-5 Kenneth R. Brown T-5 James H. Hyder T-5 Bernard D. Keller Pfc. Donald Brandenburg Pfc. Charles F. Crider Pfc. Dan O. Hunt Pfc. John L. Walton Jr. Pfc. Stanley Willner Pvt. James L. Henninge (Radio man) Pvt. Donald D. Kubela
Thanks Dan

We do have some rosters, and there's Templeman's too, of course, but unfortunately we don't have a detailed breakdown beyond those. That's not to say that they don't exist somewhere, just that I haven't been able to beg, borrow or steal one yet. As comprehensive as the States photos might have been, they did not include those who were still recuperating from their Corregidor wounds
