Upon further research, the answer to whether we were hacked is "NO". The destination domain relevant to aspects of the Fourth Marine Regiment in China, had been hacked. Our Corregidor.Org websites have a measure of protection against malefactors by virtue of it having some pages containing a large number of links to articles and websites concerning the 1989 Tiananmen Square Protests and Massacre. This content caused our sites to be entirely banned from internet access in China. I seek reports from users for anything which has gone awry. Our site's Reference Reading section now hosts the R-2 Journal of the Fourth Marines on Corregidor, a 660 page document which details the entirety of the siege. This is the single largest document we host. We do host other features, such as the entirety of the fifteen volumes of Law Reports of Trials of the War Criminals.

Those of you who know me personally know that I'm not a wowser. Even though, it was a bit of a shock when I found that several links on one of our prominent pages (well, at least I think it is prominent) directed people to a site of pornography hosted by Word Press. It was in a foreign font, looked somewhat arabic.
What upset me more is that the link indicates that four prominent websites have closed down, or gone elsewhere.
And that nobody noticed.
EXO
P.S. I've killed the links.

What a horror story! Worse, what a betrayal! A reputable company would have its own backup, so that when their so-called data centre went up in flames, there was a fallback position. I suspect they took the "take the money and run" option.

I've just been advised that Photobucket has deactivated my account because they no longer support free accounts.
After years of “everything free”, the giants of the internet decided to monetize data hosting, even for “small” volumes. This has been coming a long while, and there's nothing in my Photobucket Account that I couldn't afford to lose, for I cleared out the remnants long ago. So the news of my account's closure isn't a crisis, it's just a reminder of the way things change, and rarely for the better. I've already got enough miscellaneous costs of running the website, and I've long since ceased shelling out for hosting images on the forum.
I am aware, though, that some of you still subscribe to Photobucket, and good luck with that. Thankyou for the visuals that you've been hosting, keeping us educated and entertained. Just be aware, as soon as you cease paying Photobucket, there'll be more dead images on the forum than fish in the sea.
Frankly, I'm worried about the long, slow death of our Corregidor Historic community, but I'm at a loss as to what to do about it. ProBoards is the largest host of free forums on the internet. While social media can be somewhat amorphous at times, forums provide order and a sense of home. that was then, this is now, and what is around the corner I have no idea.
I'm sorry, I just don't have the answers.

That's an interesting image, but here's something that might interest qualified pilots. Kindley Field is, so the chismis goes, to be partially resurrected for some form of light aircraft operations. But I understand that the field is NOT owned by CFI but under the jurisdiction of Sangley AFB, which has control. Now, what's the effect of putting a bridge immediately at one end of the flight path of Kindley Field? At one end, Malinta Hill, at the other a bridge?
