A postwar edition of the book would be better unless you're collecting for history. The postwar editions wouldn't have the censored or redacted text that the original 1943 wartime edition had. There was a 1981 Philippine reprinting of the book titled "Last Man Off Bataan".

Thanks again Karl. Thanks for the emailed updates too, they remind me to visit the forum and check out the latest posts. My wife graduated from the International School of Manila in 1994 (it was in Makati then). She mentioned that their gym was named Spruance Gym. I asked her if she knew who Spruance was. She had no idea. But now she knows
