Hi darthdract, These forums are the best for Corregidor information for sure. Many of the foreigners on here are retired therefore have the time to indulge in discussions and exploring. Most Filipinos I know who are interested in the island (and WWII in general) have younger families and are still working. This severely restricts leisure activities. Somehow guys like batteryboy seem to do both. I am glad you like the pbase photos. That site needs a major overhaul and update which I will get around to one of these years. fots2Oh ok now I get it, Well I am an aspiring Photographer my self I am just starting out. I am planning to return to the rock this summer I hope I could get enough funds for the Over Night tour.

Thanks Batteryboy for the Additional Pics and info, I am an artillery fan as well one the reasons I became interested with the Rock, Wow those are live shells you are holding.. I dont think I have the balls to pick one up like that. The 14 inchers I guess are for the Guns at Fort Hughes and Frank right or Ft Drum?

Hey Fots2 I saw your photo Collection at Pbase what a wealth of photos you got there its good to know there is a forum like this for Enthusiasts like us there is not to many people who values places like Corregidor, its a shame it seems there are more foreign enthusiast than local filipino enthusiast it is Part of our history no matter who build it. Thanks for sharing those Pics

Wow, I can see where my house stands today, and I am not joking. In one of the photos you can see Zobel Roxas and Vito Cruz extension, all the way to La Salle College in Taft Avenue and the Sun Cruises docks.

Wow thanks for the replies I was just standing there not knowing it is from the legendary Battleships Yamato or Musashi Guns I was not aware that we have 18 inch shells displayed here in the Philippines how did it get there? I know Musashi sank at the Sibuyan sea but I never knew that we had some existing shells from that Battleship.
Oh my Rock!!
