I notice in the Templeman book his name is misspelled. Also in the state photo name document, it is mispelled yet another way. Armando, is this a picture of your father? And is this your fathers army serial number...39019461? I want to make sure I have the correct person for any help I may be in research. Thank you Dan Attachments:

ArmyJunk, I remember that First tin when it was up for sale. I passed on it because it didn't cross paths with any 503rd members Cool piece, glad it's in a good home. Dan

Excellent. You were bidding against my buddy. When he sent me the picture, I didn't realize he was bidding on it...I thought he had it in his hands already.
Good score. Thanks for posting...thats awesome.

I was reading about the history and folklore of Kilroy. From the famous drawings seen across the world during WWII. You see Kilroy in many places. I'm wondering if anyone has run across original WWII artwork of Kilroy on Corregidor? Kilroy would most likely have been drawn 1945 or later on Corregidor if he is there at all. I do not think Kilroy was "in service" until mid 1942. ...and would he have been part of the 503rd? Thanks Dan Attachments:

I just want everyone to know it's a Boy. Born March 4th 2011. Wife and baby are doing great.
Hopefully us "guys" will make it to Corregidor sometime. Thanks for your support. Dan

Thanks for the posts guys.
I could be writing this from Corregidor today, but I'm at home still waiting for little "one50" about 2 more weeks I think...You all will be sure to hear about it
Yesterday I mentioned to my wife that we would be looking over Manila Bay this week if the little one was not on the map. She reassured me that we will make it there some time, now with another passenger ;D

This picture is from Wikipedia. As mentioned before...I'm thinking you shouldn't juggle these or use them as boat ballast. Dan Attachments:

Thanks batteryboy. Here is my dilemma, My buddy has this jacket and we can not figure out what patch goes on it. The jacket is mid-late 1930's and I should add that khaki cotton jackets were removed as authorized wear in 1939. Also, only Philippine-made khaki cotton jackets (private purchase) had cloth belt-holder tabs. All the rest had metal belt hooks. So, this jacket is definitely Philippine and definitely pre-war. What patch goes on the sleeve? You can clearly see the outline of the old patch. Any educated guesses? Attachments:

A frined of mine has asked me a question I do not know the answer to. I was hoping someone here can help.
"What patch would pre-war AAF units wear in the Philippines? Army Air Corps "pinwheel" or Philippine Department"
Thanks Dan
