Greetings All,
I'm new to your forum, having been drawn in by the fascinating discussion of the late Richard Sakakida's less than credible legend of behind-the-lines derring-do. That discussion has given me some hope that I might be able to find information on other matters regarding the Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) on Luzon in 1945.
I'm currently doing research on several units and individuals. My primary focus is the 902nd CIC Detachment (and its agents), which was active in Rizal Province from May-August 1945, supporting the 112th Cavalry RCT. But I am also interested in the 201st, 211th, 214th, 306th, 457th, 492nd, 493rd, 904th, 954th and the CIC Training School once it moved from New Guinea to Manila.
If anyone has stories, pictures, or documents related to any of those detachments, I'd love to see them.
Regards
