Sirs,
I regret to inform you of the death of a 503rd PIR veteran, MAJ Hugh Breslin.
MAJ Breslin passed away from a heart attack while he was hospitalized for an unrelated illness on February 13th.
As you can see from the obituaries which I have attached, MAJ Breslin and his family viewed his service in the 503rd as the highlight of his over 40 years of military and government service.
MAJ Breslin will be buried with full military honors at 1pm on 26 March 08 at Arlington National Cemetery.
I am the Casualty Assistance Officer for the family. Mrs. Breslin is doing well, and has the support of six of her children who live in the area. If there are any 503rd veterans in the Washington DC area who would like to attend the burial, I will be glad to assist in any way.
