The pics with the revetments could be the Bataan Field near the Cabcaben field. The Bataan Field was described to have revetments, roads, quarters and the ravine. Your pics, Dmether, got me drooling for a while.

Bataan, somewhere. This is Bataan Field. The runway extended beyond the highway. It has a 3 degree slope going inland to the forested area.

Some of the shots with clear revetments were taken most probably at Floridablanca A/F or even at nearby Porac field as it was to open and flat as compared to the Cabcaben, Bataan and Mariveles fields.

Nice photo history of Bataan in 1944.
Was the Mariveles Airfield, (pictured on page one this post), built before or after the war started? Anything left to see of this old airfield today? Some interesting topography in this area to be able to build an airfield.

The photo of Mariveles A/F was taken in 44. Unless you knew it existed, hardly a trace of it remains right now.

Mariveles The view of Mariveles in 1944 the landscape have changed so much the small bridge is now a footbridge going to the municipal hall i remember the old folks saying from our home now 250meters up was indeed "bakawan and latian" (muddy)on the eastern side of the existing road. The road is what we call Lakandula Street nowadays...Its surprising and amazed to see our street how it looks like 70years ago.

Not Bataan, but a nice one of Manila. Hoping to get the recce images of the Bataan Death March route take in 1945, 150 images, each image is about 8.5x11, so great detail. Also, came across a US Navy report about photo recce of the Cabanatuan POW camp in 1944, still looking for the images.
