Hello beirutvet.
The picture I posted a while ago is now deleted.
I don't know about that but I was younger and fitter. That was in 1969 and in DC, at the Navy 1st Class Diver Training.
I will move that test to our Photobucket problem page. So I learned, that I am able to post an image from my new web page, but it is not read yet. It will be a few more days!

The Corregidor Elementary School. Just came across an album in Facebook from Tony Feredo about the school with 4 pictures. I added 6 more. This is the Facebook URL: www.facebook.com/groups/1594353690875491/permalink/1604562429854617/For this Forum presentation I only choose these 5 sample images: U637. Tony’s picture, he wrote this: May not be military history related but it’s part of Corregidor History. The "Paaralang Elementarya Ng Corregidor" (Corregidor Elementary School) has a special place in me as I always made it a point to drop by to say hi to the kids and even engage them in some basketball hoop shoot outs. I even donated one of our surplus office desktop computers so that the kids can watch and learn thru educational CDs. I am sad to say that the school closed after a year or two these photos were taken and the students had to be transferred to either Bataan or even in Cavite. Gone are the smiles, the sounds of laughter and footsteps of children in the island. Me with the head teacher in front of the Corregidor Elementary School. U638. Tony visited Corregidor in 2000 or just before that. Tony’s picture, he wrote this: Inside their classroom. They are a great bunch. U639. 03-12-12 Corregidor Elementary School sign. Sad, but in 2003 the nice sign in Tony’s picture was laying on the ground behind the school. U640. 03-12-12 school buildings. A 2003 image of the two school buildings, the school was closed then already. Notice the two signs, right of the door at the first building. U641. 11-10-17 Stockade level, the school signs. This is an Oct. 2011 image and even on my last visit in 2019, I can report that the two signs were still there. One plaque is about the 4th Marines. It is nice to remember the 4th Marines. Before and after this Corregidor school closed, they also helped establish a high school in Mariveles and helped over the years. One plaque is for SGM La Fever's support. SGM La Fever is another person to be remembered. He used to come every year, brought material for the school and on Christmas he brought presents for the children.
