ORDINANCE STORAGE ABOVE THE COLD STORAGE
Fort Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant
An album of the Fort Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant has been started in my photo sharing account. This segment of images is called the letter “K” series and the images are larger in size than in this forum. K1 to K16 numbered images show the Ordinance Storage Room above the Cold Storage Room in the Fort Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island. This room received a major bomb hit and shows it. Most of these pictures are mine except three which I received from Karl Schmidt and Roger Davis of CDSG (cdsg.org) who got the images from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).

This “K” series of images (15 images) show you the ordinance Storage above the Cold Storage of Fort Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island. The space is very unique because it received a bomb hit that penetrated thru the reinforced roof. The pictures start at the end of the sixth page and continue on the 7th page of the album.
Here are 7 sample pictures:
W160 (K1) the bomb impact into the Ordinance Storage above the Cold Storage in the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island. Photo credit NARA via Karl Schmidt from CDSG.
W161 (K3) the section of the Ordinance Storage, over the Cold Storage (below it) in the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island. Photo credit NARA via Karl Schmidt from CDSG.
W162 (K4) the section of the Ordinance Storage, over the Cold Storage (below it) in the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island. Photo credit NARA via Roger Davis from CDSG.
W163 (K9) we see the NW corner of the Ordinance storage above the Cold Storage, left is the west wall and in back is the north wall or rear wall. Some of the steel weight support posts are bending from the bomb impact.
W164 (K11) we are basically looking north and towards the rear in the Ordinance storage above the Cold Storage and we see the west side of the bomb impact. This is the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island.
W165 (K13) this is the NE corner the Ordinance storage above the Cold Storage, left is the rear or north wall and in back is the east wall. The bomb impact is to the right of me. This is the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island.
W66 (K15) this is to the right or east of the bomb impact and we are looking along the right or east wall towards the rear and the north wall. This is the Ordinance storage above the Cold Storage in the Ft. Mills Power and Cold Storage Plant on Corregidor Island.
