I got my first copy today, and am super happy with it. Until 24 Feb, there's supposed to be a 35% off groupon coupon code(use FREE35A) available. Damn, last week the best coupon I could scrounge was 15%. This time, I have listed the paperback version on Amazon, to see if it generates any interest. The hard-cover and photo-cover are being sold through blurb.com, the self-publishing house, at the same price as Amazon.

Congratulations on completing another fine project and preserving the stories and images of not only Chet's experiences, but 503rd PRCT!
For those seeking answers about family members who served in the 503rd PRCT, I'm sure this book will go a long way in helping others understand what their loved ones felt and experienced.
Everyone is always looking for direct answers and for most, that ship has long passed with time. I know when I first started doing research on my grandfather, I wanted particulars too. I learned over time (through the help of Paul) that the best way to learn, is to study the experiences of others, especially those who served in the same company or battalion, for they all had similar experiences and chewed the same ground. By doing this, over time, you should have a good understanding.
Through the generosity of others, much has been shared so others can learn. If you are reading this I encourage you to do the same.

I am announcing the release of a new edition of HOW I REMEMBER IT - MY PRIVATE WAR, by Chet Nycum. (For those unfamiliar with it, the book is a retrospective by Chet Nycum of his years in the 503d Parachute Infantry Regiment, culminating in the jumps on Corregidor and the Operation on Negros. It's comprehensively packed with images from all the collections of images of the 503d from Australia, New Guinea, Noemfoor, Mindoro, Corregidor and Negros.) The original (2016) version was published in a 10x8in (25x20cm) format, across a range of softcover, hardcover+ glossy dust jacket and hardcover/ImageWrap editions. Lately I have been redoing my books in a Coffee-table sized "Large Landscape" size, 13x11in (33x28cm) format. No more struggling to look at the small photos. These are what I've called "Deluxe" - for the ImageWrap cover, and "Dress Circle" - for the glossy Dust Jacket version. If there's a struggle to be had, it's the sheet size and weight of the Deluxe/Dress Circle editions - they ship at 2.4KG (5.3 lb. in old currency.) These versions aren't just a one-button upgrade, the books are being comprehensively reworked, and the images have been enlarged and further enhanced. A whole bunch of images, formerly 72dpi, are now 300dpi. I wish to thank Eric Harkins for his assistance in producing this new edition. There's always been an eBook version, based on the 2016 original. This is priced at ten bucks. (I see no purpose in retiring this ePub version, as a 'screen' version of the book remains a 'screen' version of the book irrespective of its printed size.) Though I suggest you might have at the preview of the eBook, as Blurb requires that there be a preview of the first 84 pages of each eBook product. The PREVIEW PAGE contains details of each of the versions.
