Here's a rainy day challenge. I hadn't had a close look at this picture until recently, and naturally the thought crossed my mind, "Do I know this tunnel?" Well, do you guys? The image is from B.B. Morton's collection, via Cindy Crawford. It will be included in "Bless 'em All Vol III - Corregidor".

Wild SWAG: We are standing just south of the southeast corner of Topside Barracks, and looking south to the opening of of the Commanding General's Bomb Proof Shelter, Bldg. 446 on the 1936 map. In the background are officer's (Sr. Officer's) quarters. I'm making some popcorn and rescuing another beer from the back of the refrigerator...the suspense is gripping me!!

I don't have the map in front of me right now but if someone can point approximately where the view is seen from that would be great.

They are from a series of snaps taken by the heavy weapons platoon, in front of Mile Long Barracks.
I am wondering if the "tunnel" might just be the cut through which the trolley passes on its way up to the topside terminus, with the Japanese having roofed it over with timber and cut vegetation - so not a dug tunnel at all.
