I am a resident of manila and i am an avid reader of military history in ww2 specifically in Philippines. I came to know about your organization when i read about the sinking of ss corrigidor. The discussions and insights were amazing. I would be very pleased to know also about the liberation of Manila. Once again, i am very thankful of being a would be member and i anticipate more interesting learning about ww2 in manila and philippines as well. _________________ Gisby, I also run the website "Battle of Manila" which is at battleofmanila.org and try to bring similar insights to the subject. Most everyone you will meet here is fascinated by the many and various aspects pf WWII in the Philippines - EXO.

My interest in Corregidor is very personal. My mother's uncle was Major Wade Cothran. He was on Gen. Wainwright 's staff and surived until spring of 1945. Mother talked about him and of the great struggle at Corregidor. She named my brother for him. I want to look into his world and see where he served. Thanks much for this opportunity!

Welcome David Blackwell as a new member He writes "I currently live in Ooltewah, TN. My general interest in Corregidor stems from a visit back in about 1965, when I was about 8 years old. My Dad was assigned to Clark Air Base and had arranged a tour for our family and his Mom and Dad who were visiting us at the time. I was fascinated with the history of “The Rock” and am happy that there is an organization dedicated to preserving the unique history of this island. Since Dad passed away last summer, I will be digging up his slides of our visit to share here. I hope it will add to the preservation of the heroic sacrifices made on Corregidor by the Defenders."

22 March 2018 Welcome to " salgal" who writes to us by way of introduction: "Hi, I'm interested in this Board because I had family (father and grandparents) interned by the Japanese in the Philippines during WWII. I research and gather information about the internment of Allied civilians in the PI." I'll hazard a guess that her name is Sally Meadows Massey. Actually, not a guess, because I have found an EX-POW BULLETIN published by BACEPOW in January 2007 where she was appointed as their Historian. The link is at : www.axpow.org/bulletins/bullcur.pdf . Sally had been working with her father to compile his records of Santo Tomas to donate to the MacArthur Memorial and has developed an extensive digital record of pertinent information. I welcome her new membership.

Although I'm newly appointed to BACEPOW as Historian, I'm more of a hoarder than an historian. My father and grandparents were in Santo Tomas for the duration of WWII and I am fascinated by the stories of the civilians held in the camps. I live in Northern California. SalGal Sally, I'm pleading guilty as charged. I sure understand digital hoarding! That's how the Corregidor.Org all started. ExO

Hello all,
I am Koressha, a railfan whose aim is to collate documentation and info on all PH railways, or as much as I can take myself. One of my proposed projects (for school) is to create a digital map of all railways, old and new, and thus the Corregidor Railway is my main interest, alongside the history here considered as novelty in our basic education curriculum.
Thank you for accepting me here.
Regards

Hello there my name is Atom. I live in Talisay, Cebu and came here in search of a relative who apparently died on Corregidor. Is there a place where I can post more details thanks.
Generally speaking, no, we do not provide a service to trace casualties on Corregidor. Our Guest Board does not require membership to make a post on it. The best chance is for you to make a posting there which gives all the information you have about your relative, in the hope that its informative nature grabs the attention of one of our visitors who may know where to look. - EXO
