Each paratrooper's personal collection of photographs tells the story of his war. These are the images of Bill Calhoun's service with 'F' Company of the 503d Parachute Infantry Regiment, and the 503d Parachute Regimental Combat Team. The images tell his story of an assistant platoon leader, platoon leader, Company Executive Officer, and Company Commander, revealing an intimate story of a brotherhood forged by the bond of steel that unites THE ROCK REGIMENT.
The digital version of this book has arrived a bit earlier than I anticipated.
In 2012, Bless 'em All was only published on the 503PRCT.Org website, and I decided I should take steps to preserve the images used throughout the website in a book. The pictures are a selection from Bill's own collection, and are also used in the four volume work BLESS 'EM ALL. At this stage, only the first three volumes have been released.
Thus I created the "PICTORIAL COMPANION", which contained Bill Calhoun's collection of images.
I originally published it in 2012 as a hard cover publication. In those days, there was no means to convert it to a digital format, as there is today.
So I have updated the book, and have re-released it in four versions - (a) a Softcover, (b) a Hardcover (Dust Jacket with premium lustre paper, proline black endsheets, and proline charcoal cover), (c) a Hardcover (ImageWrap, with top of the line proline Pearl Photo paper, amd proline Black endsheets) and (d) as an ePub digital book .
the prices of print on demand being so high, I have specified the softcover on ordinary paper, without any fancy endpapers. The others, well, the proline papers are dear as poison. I suggest you start looking for Blurb coupons to reduce the cost.
What I am glad for, is that now there is a ten dollar digital version which can be downloaded for viewing on Amazon Kindle, Apple iPad, AppleBook, iPhone, Android and Mac OS.
You can preview the first 72 pages of the digital version or go via my publications website at paulwhitman.com.
