Curious as to whether any Ford Trimotor Aircraft were in use in the Philippines 1941-42. Military/civilian. There must have been some that were caught on the ground or flying transport service during the Japanese invasion. Curious as to any civilian aircraft at that point in time, eg Bamboo Airforce. Thanks Paul

In quite a few years of study, never seen a Ford Trimotor mentioned. Tony?

According to the book "Doomed at the Start" by Wm. Bartsch there was a Beech Staggerwing, a Waco Cabin Plane, and a Bellanca Skyrocket that operated with the Bamboo Fleet. Also a couple of Beech 18s (Twin Beechs) and a Sikorsky S-43 Baby Clipper. There is no information on any Ford Tri-motors, but that does mean there were some there at one time.
