I was going through X-files of remains recovered from the Aglaloma Point cemetery, the location of the Battle of the Points. File number Manila #2 X-3984 had a note saying “ID disc bearing numbers 67—7117 the rest of the numbers were illegible.” This could be any of nine men with those numbers in their SN, but only one man was in a unit that was at the Battle of the Points.
MANANSALA, SILVESTRE, CPL, Service Number 6737117, 45th Infantry Regt, PS, Date of death: January 31, 1942). Corporal Manansala is listed as missing. He is buried in grave N-15-191 in the Manila American Cemetery. He can probably be identified through DNA if the family makes a formal request.
That's all the information I have on him. If someone wants to take on the project of finding the family, I'd suggest obtaining his Individual Deceased Personnel File (IDPF).
