I have just received an email that Matt Mazur has just purchased Timeline product "Timeglider", which has hosted on its free account since 2011 the TIMELINE OF THE 503d PRCT.
He is closing down Timeline and introducing Preceden, a new technology. Preceden, is a pay service which, all other things being equal, I could not afford. We were facing the closure of the Timeline.
After an exchange of eMails, Mr. Mazur has agreed to my proposal that Preceden sponsor the TIME LINE OF THE 503d PRCT in exchange for a product placement and link, and for patriotism purposes. I have resisted having general advertising on the site, for numerous reasons.
This, I hope, is a "win-win" outcome.

Here is the current Time Line I am writing about, just so you know.

It's not looking good. The new PRECEDEN technology displays the time line in an entirely different format presentation than does TIMEGLIDER, being optimized for project management. I designed the Time Line not just for the communication of facts/occurrences, but to be entertaining and educational. Timeglider was cute, and I could decorate it in a visually pleasing way. I made it active with pop-ups. All the facts weren't on display, but you could make them pop up intuitively. The new technology is businesslike (9 out of a 10 scale) but not entertaining (3 out of a 10 scale.) I acknowledge that I am a beginner on this. Preceden has been developed by a professional project manager, and it lacks visual interest. Improvements of technology aren't necessarily good for everyone.
