I have always had a strong interest in cryptography, and I'd read all the books. When it intersected with my study of Corregidor, it became even more a preoccupation. One of the earlier features of the 'Corregidor Then and Now' website was "Secret Corregidor" where I gathered together a number of articles that had come my way. I furthered my research and wrote a paper about the traffic analysis and breaking of JN25, and submitted it for review to Duane Whitlock (who had been on Corregidor), whose address had come my way. He was most amenable, and we started a course of correspondence. I learned an awful lot from him. He told me some things which, at the time, I thought were far fetched - but as the years have passed since then, I realize how wise and prescient he was. He was concerned about the coming crypto-war between the US and China and how the two countries were headed towards a collision. It was, for him, no less a war than that he had waged against Japan. Only if you are serious about learning about the secret side of Corregidor do I recommend you follow this link.
