EXO'S SUMMARY:
Cavite's City Mayor and Corregidor Foundation Inc. have signed an arrangement relating to Corregidor's future. They are all Pride and Joy-a-hoop about what it means, but they are keeping its actual terms of the arrangement confidential - the agreement is not being allowed to speak for itself. We only have their hearsay as to what's been agreed, and even that is filtered through their press releases. They are jockeying for political and financial control of the island in anticipation of the spoils to be had with construction of the Bataan-Cavite bridge announced to be proceeding. My prediction is that the prospects of Corregidor becoming a more ecologically sustainable attraction, are becoming increasingly remote. No matter what the news articles say, no matter what our hopes might be, this is the downfall of the historic Corregidor we know.
