I recently found the resting place for Melvin R. Weeks of the 462nd B Btry. There's an inconsistency with the 503d PRCT Honor Roll, which has him as a Captain, and with a date of death of "May 1945." I was just wondering if you have some info I have yet to find about Weeks' Death. What do you make of that? Thank you Dan

I ran across this old post when doing genealogy research. Melvin Weeks was my Great Uncle. The fraternal twin brother of my maternal Grandfather, Kenneth R Weeks. Melvin died June 30 1945 in Leyte Philippines of thyphus. His brother made it home alone without his brother and went on to live a very long life to the age of 93. It was something he rarely talked about but affected him all his life.I Alliciajohn@hotmail.com
