CMP Truck on CorregidorHi Sometimes the obvious is staring back at one's self. Have a look at the photo below. The main point of interest is the Japanese tank followed by the Navy Tunnel Portals. However, under the gun barrel of the Japanese tank and in the mid background, one will see a 1940 or 1941 3 ton CMP Truck. The photograph was taken in 1942 on the eastern boundary of San Jose. Canadian Bren Gun Carriers in use spotted..........

The Battle of the Points occurred at the same time as the withdrawal from Abucay line. Tanks were needed at both locations but more so for the withdrawal from the Abucay line.
"When a request for tanks was received Colonel Alexander's forces were augmented by the use of 2 Bren Gun carriers, sent in lieu of tanks, for the attack on Quinauan Point and by elements of the 21st Pursuit Squadron, a company of Constabulary troops, and a provisional company formed from Sellecks 71st headquarters Company."
