Phil-Am Friendship Park 2017-08-10
The Philippine-American Friendship Park is now located Topside on Corregidor Island, the ex Fort Mills, next to the Cine and south of it. It has a nice stature of a Filipino and an American soldier supporting each other in stressful situation. A set of stone plaques has been set around the stature with the names of the units and their Commanders that defended and liberated the Philippines. I shot all the plaques in a counter clock wise direction.

Za072. Phil-Am Friendship Park.
The Phil-Am Friendship Park is part of the Pacific War Memorial on Corregidor Island, the former Fort Mills of the Manila and Subic Bays Harbor Defenses Command. It is located Topside on Corregidor Island next to the cine.

The 71st INF Div. helped defend the First Line of Defense in Layac, Dinalupihan in Bataan. Za081. 41st INF. Div. Gen. Lim Plaque
General Lim is a Filipino Hero. He was the first Filipino graduate in West Point, Class 1914. He is the 2nd name on the West Point Memorial in Cabanatuan after Col. Bunker, Class 1902. He was executed by the Japanese on his way to join Gen. MacArthur in Australia. This Division was established out of Philippine Constabulary regiments in late 1941 and fought in Bataan. This is one of many stone plaques that list the units and forces with their commanders who participated in the Defense and Liberation of the Philippines and they have been placed in a circle around the Phil-Am Park.
