And not to mention the fray of the webbing slings used to secure (or should I say attach) the 'Booby' to the broken karabiner. Smoke in hand would look great at night; a trail of smoke, flames and sparks across the night sky; and to crash, wings outstretched, head first into a pair of safety orange painted 14 inch radial tires.
For the insurance claim, the place of injury would best be described as where the M4 hit a mine on "Black Beach", February 16, 1945. We should not have to draw parallels like this, should we?

I can actually picture that “crash and burn” ;D Perhaps they are focusing on the wrong sport. How about the excellent views from an environmentally friendly hot air balloon. They can’t screw that up can they?

You guys have hit the nail on the head this is a profit thing with no regards to history and to the grave yard in which it is built. Have you ever been to a cemetary in the philippines during holy week , everyone is picnicking amongst the graves , I grew up in the PI but never ever practiced this and what do you expect from people who do this type of thing annually and dont teach their kids history and respect for it and our heritage probably nothing. I am a doc and there is no way Im even getting near an amusement ride anywhere out of the USA. There is so much liability involved with this type of venture here and imagine falling off or the line cutting because back there they dont replace things the way they are suppose to and cut corners whenever possible, . think about that the line will hold 300 lbs what does the avg american wt? at least here the cable holds more and it will only take one tourist to die on this stupid thing and it will be all over and that will happen, and if they dont die right away they will die on the boat going back to manila or trying to get to the hospital in the hellish traffic they have. I see stupidity there all the time , fishermen using dynamite to fish and destroy coral when the coral and tourism will bring in more same thing with this line, shortsightedness is rampant in my poor corrupt philippines unfortunately and money will always be at the forefront of anything including protecting our heritage , Im going to try to enjoy the island with my kids as long as I can and hope that one day someone with some sense and respect for our heritage will take over , then again miracles do happen dont they?

Very discouraging to see this sort of thing happen, almost like building a McDonalds in the middle of Gettysburg. I highly doubt people are going to be swarming to the Rock to take a spin on the zip slide alone, so unfortunately this is likely only the prelude to a host of adventure themed attractions to lure people to the island. With the myriad of lesser known islands around there, you would think it would be easy enough to find a more suitable location, where there would be no risk of insulting vets still alive with this hair brained stunt.

I expect the Zip Line was a Sun Cruises idea to increase revenues. It is still being used but only occasionally from what I have seen. During my four days on the island last week, I was told five guests used it one day.
The Zip Line is not really in your face but I still agree with your comments.

I never get the idea why they think a tourist who is interested in WWII history will suddenly have an urge to zip on that line. It is just so out of place. Also I don't like the comical way they present the tour its like they are forcing things to be funny.

What a load of rotten bovine excrement! Why don't they build a kiddies theme, roller coaster park at Verdun while they're at it? Is nothing sacred?

John, Instead of posting any more of my opinion, I’ll just let Sun Cruises themselves show you the real reasons they bring tourists to the island. The Adventure Begins

Direct hit, John! Change the title, it could be anywhere. Completely ignore the things that make it different from every other resorts. Can't you just hear the advertising executives? "I don't care what the pic is of, so long as you ignore the history-heritage crap, just make the prints glossy!"
