I'm wondering if these are the remains of American POW's killed at Hiroshima? And can anyone make out the last word?

A little background on the photo. It was scanned out of a book in the National Archives titles POW photo's, pictures in Japan and is in a group with Hiroshima POW camp pictures. I believe the guys who died in the Hiroshima bombing were downtown at the time, not in the camp.

Could the last word be cinema? I did a search looking for a cinema being used as a hospital or morgue after the 1945 bombing but found nothing. Not much help but still a possibility.

It looks very much like CINEMA and the way the writer , writes at speed he puts the dot for the letter ( I ) ahead of the letter ( I ) as you will see with his other words .

Hey Fots....My immediate thought was also "cinema". I also wonder what, if any, is the significance in the arrangement of the containers. The "pyramids" on each end of the row are kinda intriguing, methinks. Cheers.
