Hey Vic....I wonder if there was ever ONE of those cards that actually stated the health of the individual to be POOR??? I think not. The International Red Cross knew what the real situation was, but had to play along with the Japanese to obtain what little information they were allowed to get. They probably also knew that many of the Food Parcels were never reaching the POWs, but what could they do...take those responsible to Court??? I have always been under the impression that the Germans had some "model" Concentration Camps (civilian captives, generally) for the Geneva people to inspect, but the Nipponese didn't even resort to that.
