Sorry for the late reply xray. I would love one of these toys. Imagine getting a close-up view of fortifications on Conchita Island and Rock Point or on top of the steep cliffs of Tailside where Lt. Lawrence’s men were positioned in 1942. This thing certainly could take some interesting photos and videos. The reality is that I won’t be buying one of them but I can dream… FYI, new Corregidor trip reports are on hold for the moment however here are a few cellphone photos from the other side of the planet. You might wonder what countries the above two photos were taken in and the answer might be a surprise. They were not only taken in the same country but taken just 195 meters apart and 8 minutes between shots. I took them yesterday afternoon on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. This island is long and narrow with the deep blue Atlantic on one side and the shallow aqua Caribbean on the other. Here are sunset views at a beach 5 minutes’ walk from my hotel. I will be back on Corregidor next year.

It looks like a tough life and I hope you're enjoying it. Glad to see you're keeping in practice - those are some beautiful photos.

I would love to see you get one, hopefully as they become more common and with more competition, the price will drop to reasonable levels. I have read many sad stories of crashes and losses, sometimes they just lose connection and fly away, but most of these are due to operator error. You would also need optimum conditions of under 15 mph wind ... But I can imagine the beauty of shots a device like this could produce ,, And also very handy to get shots of remote areas hard or impossible to reach on foot. Here is more impressive footage

That is impressive for sure. I expect they are improving all the time and they may be more affordable someday. I never really considered such a thing, thanks for the info.

Fots needs a drone that will crawl through tunnels and caves. Something with a laser powered snake and spider zapper.
Just imagine the potential for harm if he had a drone that he could fly from the Mac Cafe and explore the farthest reaches of the Rock with a cold San Mig in his hand.

Now you got my attention! An upgrade for satellite remote control could even put okla at the controls.
