I have posted an archive of newspaper articles that have some mention Corregidor dating from 1898 to the 1960s. Some interesting stuff here - maybe not so much on the purely accurate historical facts but one can certainly get a sense of the feelings prevailing at the time. They are posted on Dropbox.com with public access. They are listed in alphabetic order but the date of the newspaper is at the end of the file name. Please let me know if you have trouble viewing the PDF files. Hope you enjoy going through them! www.dropbox.com/sh/6comba6lgxpg06r/AAD633dwcR39oejA0SH87UlAa?dl=0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.dropbox.com/sh/6comba6lgxpg06r/AAD633dwcR39oejA0SH87UlAa?dl=0 www.dropbox.com/sh/6comba6lgxpg06r/AAD633dwcR39oejA0SH87UlAa?dl=0

Randy
Holy crap on a cracker!
What a treasure trove you have unlocked here. I feel like my great, great grand aunt Minnie just passed away and we are cleaning out her attic and came across these gems just sitting there collecting dust. I will have fun with this for MONTHS going through all these articles.
You are correct, they may not be PURELY accurate historical fact, but damn close to it so as to be used in a supporting role. This is fantastic stuff!
I was wondering, is there an EASY way of rearranging these articles so they appear in chronological order? The operative word here being easy. If it is too difficult or time consuming, no big deal, I will still have loads of fun looking through them. As my buddy Okla is fond of saying, this just gives my wife's future divorce attorney ammunition to prove she is a Corregidor widow.
Kudos to you and many thanks for this find.
My kindest regards

I thought about arranging them in chronological order by changing the file names so that the date appears first. The computer would then sort them for you when it displays the directory. But that would be a lot manual labor on a few hundred files. When I posted these I didn't know if anyone would be interested so I didn't spend the time.
On my computer I created folder for each year and then just went through and dumped the appropriate files in the corresponding folder. That would be a quick and easy way to at least organize them by year. My files also include Subic and other areas of interest to me.
If you have any other search terms to try to locate specific articles please post here.
