Battery Geary Construction
About 20 Pictures show the construction of Battery Geary, 1908-1910, in Fort Mills on Corregidor Island. The fort and the island were part of the Manila and Subic Bay Harbor Defense Command.
These images were given to me by Karl Schmidt from the Coastal Defense Study Group (CDSG.org) who got the images from National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Thank you Karl and all members of the CDSG.

V48 (K2) Pcon-161 77F-111-125-3 Ft Mills Geary 3-07-08. The closest person left seems to be Philippine Scout with rifle and bayonet. During the Corregidor Siege 1942, Battery Geary suffered many, many casualties from two catastrophes one was a bomb hit and the other an artillery hit that blew up the battery.
