Suppose the "New and Improved" CFI have been hawking around for plans to be drawn for the redevelopment of Corregidor, and is keeping it a secret. Suppose these planners have already been inspecting the island. Suppose these plans are for commercial (ie profit taking) purposes. Suppose these planners haven't taken into account History and Heritage of Corregidor. Suppose they don't intend to. Suppose they are evading publicity. Suppose all the deal making is being done without public knowledge. Suppose this is the Army-Navy Club all over again. Suppose The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will do nothing to protect Corregidor. Suppose that the "New and Improved" CFI care not a whit for an unfunded group of people interested in the establishment of Corregidor as a National Memorial Park.

Do you see all of those supposed plans listed above....THEY ARE GOING TO BE A REALITY. Once again, monies were transferred with anticipated excitement of going to visit my old friend only to be squashed 10 minutes before boarding.... technical difficulties! This explanation is really tired, old, annoying and now destructive. Corregidor is putting up a damn good fight yet again I sencerily hope she wins this latest battle and continues to shine. Disappointed...not defeated.

T2,
What a bunch of undeserving, half-assed amateur crap artists they are! They been using that same excuse since the 1970's, it's all a lie, pure unadulterated BS.
It will cost you, but if they screw up the boat and time in the country is against you, you can catch a bus to cabcaben, and get on the phone to hire a boat across the channel. Check on the telephone numbers of the Carmen Resort. Karl Welteke has given numbers on his threads.

Well they certainly succeeded in ruining another trip to Corregidor for me! It takes me 2 days just to get on this side of the planet. When I vacation I always plan a few things to do, one of which is Hong Kong hiking, all of which is planned and controlled by me...surprise surprise it went perfectly well !!! I will check some alternatives on your suggestion EXO. I know Bataan was one method but that adds a fair amount of hours to get there and then scoot across the North channel in a banka. Once I have planned the MOA to Corregidor run, that’s set for the day, I have one or two days to do this as planned. By the time the second day was available I was so f%$^&*# pissed off, I said to hell with it and took my Hong Kong honey shopping. Phoebe had zero knowledge of this island and even read about Corregidor to gain some knowledge and insight of what I would be talking about when I showed her historical points of interest...that’s a great gal right there! We went to the Philippines specifically for Corregidor.
(Reply by EXO: I know what a great deal Corregidor is to you, T-2. I suggest you write a formal (ie on paper, not e-mail) letter to each of Sun Cruises, Corregidor Foundation Inc, and the Department of Tourism, scan them, and I will post/host them for you. You should challenge them to disclose how many trips were cancelled during the last twelve months, and ask them how many trips they have made during the last year. If they cannot tell you, you can consider yourself at liberty to conclude that they just don't care how poor the reliability of their services have become. That certainly is no way to run a tourist facility, flagrantly ignoring the vital interests of the tourists. Please also put your comments on the tourist websites, all the Corregidor blogs, and don't hold back. They have treated you worse than shoddily. If you do a "NO TRIP REPORT", I can put it on the Facebook. Maybe call it "10 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOUR CORREGIDOR TRIP IS CANCELLED." Curiously, new members are joining our Facebook page at an average rate of 10 a day. There are now 1,347 members.
