Waipahu Monument Honors Filipino WWII Veterans My buddy Ted Beagles sent me this Note. We are both sailors who know Hawaii well. I consider Waipahu my hometown; I lived there many times and a long time. I like the lifestyle in Hawaii. The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts held a dedication ceremony for the new bronze sculpture monument honoring Filipino WWII veterans at the Waipahu Public Library on Friday. The monument consists of three different bronze installations by artist Kelly S. Hestir. These pictures and story was presented by the Hawaii Star Advertiser news paper on the 26th Feb. 2023. It was written by Rosemarie Bernardo, one of their reporters. This is the URL and it has about 14 images: hBronze monument honors Filipino World War II veterans at Waipahu Public Library | Honolulu Star-Advertiser (staradvertiser.com) Zg149.
