WEBSITE TROUBLES - M6.NET HOSTING SUCKS BIG TIME
Since 9 September, the website has been experiencing loss of hosting service. Initially, some pages weren't appearing, and hotlinks to stored images were not operating. On 10 September, uploading became impossible, though the site was visible. Since 11 September, it was not responding at all. The website is hosted at m6.net and of late, M6 have become unreliable. I am also suspecting that they are lying to their customers. Here's what they are telling me: Hello , First of all we are really sorry for the inconvenience and do apologize for that.
We are still working on the issue .
Plesk re installation is done and almost the server is 80 % up which means you can login to your account via copanel . But please wait for another 4 to 6 hrs as the process is still running and it will get finished with in next few hours.
Thanks for your patience and co operation. Regards, Rahul M6.Net
Does anyone out there know if this is crap or not? I have been hosted by M6.net for several years now, but within the last few months, their service and reliability are are as low as whale droppings. If it was easier to migrate the site to someone of tolerable reliability and average credibility, and not have it cost too much, I would. exo.

We're back on line as of 13 September, but everything isn't back to normal. Our ability to upload fresh files and corrections remains impaired.

What does m6 charge you now per month? You do alot of work on this site, I don't think you need to add frustration to the list too.
I would be glad to step up to the plate and make a donation earmarked for a new host. Maybe some others would too.
Just my thoughts. Dan

Website back to normal functionality on 19 September. That's ten days of interruption of function.
In lieu of this, they offered me no credit.
Here's a few words describing M6.Net's service - slow, unreliable, poor, dimwitted, unresponsive, unreliable (did I say unreliable?), unreliable, best to be avoided.
Let me remind you the name of the Host again - M6.Net so that their crummy record can be more readily searchable by people Googling their service.

EXO, I can understand your frustration directed at web hosters. That aspect of the net is the worst. For those who find it difficult to understand the complexity of the internet, there are Servers, Routers, Switches and interconnection facilities. This may help... The photo below is a visual representation of the World Wide Web.
