ibb.co/PCYBgScI am in Norfolk right now for research and came cross the Japanese translated records titled GUERRILLA MOVEMENTS IN THE PHILIPPINES and it’s a fairly large book. This document was with regards to the battle of Manila and what to do with the American troops and Filipino guerrillas which have now included women and children (see red circle). Then check out below the red circle. It seems like they are justifying their actions. It was an interesting find IMO. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yes, an important find. I had included the text of a number of this style of documents in MANILA 1945 - AFTERMATH, courtesy of Prof. Dr. Rico Jose, in his article "Gyokusai or Gyakatsu - Japanese Accounts of the Battle of Manila", but I have never seen the original reports in typeface. Your image is one step closer than I had seen the Kobayashi Group Order. My book thus contains the text of the Kobayashi Group Order of 13 February, or rather the piece that wasn't torn or burned.
Unfortunately as the book is a print-on-demand, it isn't widely available though it is available in a pdf form.
I have the article on my Battle of Manila website at battleofmanila.org/Jose/Japanese-Accounts-of-Battle-of-Manila---Prof-Rico-Jose/index.html
If you ever come across any pertinent or noteworthy pdf documents on the Battle of Manila topic, I'd be most pleased to host them in a flipping page format. Number of pages irrelevant. I host all the 15 volumes of the law reports of Trials of War Criminals.
You were in Norfolk. At MacMem? You are among friends there.
