Having a browse, I find at www.malinta.com/corregidor/history.htmA little bit of history....
Located at the mouth of Manila Bay, one of the finest natural harbors in the world, are five diminutive islands known collectively as Corregidor. The largest island, from which the group got its name, is a curious, tadpole-shaped land form that seems to stand guard in the narrow channel between the tip of the Bataan Peninsula and the roundish outer edge of the provinces of Cavite and Batangas. Sorry guys, I must have missed that meeting.

I did not know that Corregidor is the collective name of all the other small islands in the bay. Now I am more confused

Oh no, here we go again.... Corregidor, Caballo, El Fraile, Fort Frank and La Monja OR Fort Mills, Fort Hughes, Fort Drum, Fort Frank and (no fort at La Monja) were NOT collectively known as "CORREGIDOR" but as the: Islands in Manila Bay or in military terms The HARBOR DEFENSES OF MANILA BAY! .....plain and simple. OK, for the benefit of everybody let's throw in a few more to muddle the waters, you may want to include Sta. Amalia Rock and Limbones Island as well. Maybe that will change the statement of "..known collectively as Corregidor".

From the same site though: Corregidor has four other smaller islands associated with it, namely Caballo, Carabao, El Fraile, and La Monja islands. It is interesting to note that the Philippine Volcanology website lists the main island as Mt. Corregidor- a dormant volcano. The main head of the island, together with its semicircular tadpole-like shape, and Caballo Island, form an atoll of sorts that could have once been the crater. Satellite photos of Mt. Mariveles in Bataan (only a few miles away North of Corregidor) show that it also has a large crater.www.malinta.com/corregidor/index.htm

I will agree that Corregidor and Caballo Island was once the caldera of an extinct volcano but it does not mean that the other islands can still be collectively known as Corregidor.

Now what is the difference between the Corregidor CD with the green cover and the parachute and this one on the website link?

This website exists without advertising, and provides information to a wide range of people who visit, take from it what info, education or entertainment they want, and leave with nary a thought or a thank-you.
Not everyone is a freeloader, fortunately - although the number of donations made to it is inadequate to fund the developments I want for it.
The Members CD was produced a few years ago to be issued as a gratuity to those good folk who donated to the website. It was self-contained, and gave a web-browsing experience off-line. It reflected the website at the time.
It also had some beyond the website, some WWII audio broadcasts for example.
Since the Members CD, the website has undergone a huge expansion, and significant changes.

How would your purchase of a counterfeit CD assist this web site in continuing to provide everyone, including you, with free access to quality and hard to find information on Corregidor?
