Below is some information I found real quick. Much Much more if you keep digging into the website. The SN and spelling here is correct. Some SN's on the Honor Roll page are not always 100% correct. We are working on that, but they are correct here. So use these SN's, ranks, and spelling.
Butch, John W. Sgt “E” Company 503rd SN - 33589818 Enlisted 4/3/43 DOD 4/28/45 Buried at Manila American Cemetery “E” Co. was forward app. 900 yds in Co. assault to capture a ridge on Negros. Ridge was captured and secured at road junction. Two casualties at Coordinates. (40.5-96.9) Sgt. Butch and Pfc. Perrault were killed in action at this location. Taken from the March 28th 1945 S-3 Reports
Golie, Edward A. Pfc. “B” Company 503rd SN - 20307777 Enlisted 2/17/41 DOD 2/26/45 Buried at Manila American Cemetery
Will have to do a little more research on “B” Co. to figure out what happened to Pfc. Golie.
Yocum, Theodore C. Pfc. “F” Company 503rd SN - 20308446 Enlisted 2/17/41 DOD 2/22/45 Buried at Manila American Cemetery
Pfc James Bradley, 2nd squad, recalls this. It contains the death of Pfc. Yocum around Grubbs Ravine on Corregidor Island.
"I do not remember if there was more than our platoon when we started out or not, but we were about half way down the canyon when the Japs started picking off some of our group on the right flank. It must have been Grubbs Ravine when we had the 2nd platoon with us. Our squad was on the direct left flank and we were able to move without drawing fire. I remember Mike Natalie and I found the mouth of the cave the Japs were in. We dropped several grenades into the opening and were able to drop to the roadway and dropped more grenades into a culvert where the Japs had holed up. It was here that Theodore Yocum caught one that was intended for me. I do not know to this day who yelled “Look out Bradley!' It may have been Yocum who called out. Anyway I ducked just in time, but I am sure it was at this time that Yocum died. We tried satchel charges of TNT etc. And still the Japs would not come out. Then we emptied all the fuel we had in about four or five flame throwers, then we ignited it with the last flame thrower. It was common practice to wet the target down before ignition.” "It must have been pretty awful in there because they finally came running out of the cave. Half the poor buggers were on fire as they came running out. I remember Lampman standing behind a tree picking them off with his B.A.R. I was out of ammo and unable to be of any assistance. At that time, I guess, it was really the only time I felt any anger for the Japs."

Dan (one50) has headed you accurately in the right directions to the detail we've got on each of these men, so what I am adding is essentially superfluous. John BUTCH is a Negros casualty, and so I recommend you follow through the info on the Negros campaign in Bless 'em All. I don't have a cross-reference on the Negros KIA's yet, and most of the info I do have relates to second battalion. (Butch is "E" Co., 3d Bn.) There is a short mention at corregidor.org/Bless%20'em%20All/Calendar/Week%20at%20a%20Glance/4504w4.html#450428 28 April was early in the Negros campaign, and the fighting was still in open country. Edward GOLIE was KIA on the 26th Feb, which is the day of the explosion at Monkey Pt. I do not have a listing of the KIA's from that date which allow me to know who were killed in that explosion and who were killed elsewhere. The majority of men killed at Monkey Pt. were "A" Co. We have a project the aim of which is to find the detail on all the deaths on Corregidor, and unfortunately we don't know anything about Golie and don't have any informants who know of his details either. If you do find anything, we'd like to include it, obviously. Theodore YOCUM was one of a group of men killed in the ambush in Grubbs Ravine on 22 Feb. We have dealt with this in Bless 'em All, with the story being set out in detail at corregidor.org/503_calhoun/rattlesnakes/rattlesnakes_01.htm .

As I continue on with my research on SGT Butch, PFC Golie, and PVT Yocum as part of my Montgomery County, PA KIA research I've hit my common stumbling block. Hometowns.
Does someone have the hometown's for the above causalities ? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go about finding hometowns for the men on my listing ? There gotta be an easier method.
Thanks for any assistance offered.

...I've hit my common stumbling block. Hometowns. ...There gotta be an easier method. Welcome to my world :) I search for info on 503rd men almost every day in some shape or fashion. There is no easier way. I would think since you live in the county, you should be able to narrow it down pretty fast. If you live in Montgomery. Start with the schools. What High schools existed in the late 30's early 40's. Only so many in the county...check out year books from that time period. You'll find um there, then you know what school district they attended...that narrows it down to a few towns, then check out local town history or VFW halls. Maybe even the county library. Microfilm of newspapers of the time of their death. The day of their death to about 2 months past. You might find a quick article on them. Back then local newspapers usually put the street address and kin information with a photo. The closer you get to the man, the harder the information becomes. Good luck...there is no "easy" way from here on out. The internet does not have every answer.

I did a little researh at work today (slow day)....and I found some info on
Golie, Edward A. Pfc. “B” Company 503rd
I talked to his cousin James and found out that Edward has a brother...Anthony, still alive, living in Royersford PA. James said the Golies have lived in Royersford PA for a LONG time and that Royersford is the hometown of Edward Golie. Anthony (AKA Tony) has an unlisted phone number, so I will be sending him a letter for information. I will pass all information onto you George if you like.
I hope this helps. Dan

One50, any information you find on Edward Golie will be appreciated.
re your hometown post: I don't live in Montgomery County, I am 1300 miles away in Texas. I have tried the schools but over the years the districts have consolidated and..., VFW,AM-Leg-the greater majority of the post have closed due to lack of members. I was able to find info on KIA's buried locally from the Counties Veterans branch, but new laws now make this a long drawn out process. The local historical society (they have the local newspapers archives) won't even answer my emails. It ain't easy but it sure is rewarding. George
