Hey Fots...So pleased to hear that there is a Fantastic Fots Foto Fix in the offing. I am having more than just initial withdrawal symptoms, since it has been a bit more than the usual interlude since my last fix. I leave it in your most capable hands. As to the "where is it" pic, I thought I might, even though I have never been on "the Rock", as you well know, know the answer. As the photo began scrolling upward I envisioned the entrance to one of the Japanese Torpedo Boat tunnels coming into view, but, alas as the whole photograph appeared and the lower portion showed another tunnel with finished concrete lining, etc I was proven wrong again. You must understand, that being confined here in the Oklahoma badlands, I am operating at a tremendous disadvantage. Looking forward to the new stuff. Postscript...Hope your computer problems are at an end, but your difficulty was smoothed by another junket to Corregidor. What a tough existence you endure. LOL. Cheers.

Yep, another five days on the island does wonders for ones sanity. The rest is only a pain in the butt (and the wallet).

Fots, I doubt the following old photo is of the same infantry trench as pictured in your # 86 reply, but thought I'd toss it in here just the same. No idea where on Corregidor it was taken. (Wish I could figure out how to avoid the grainy black and white scans I sometimes get). Your pic of the breakwater: Your pic of the trench behind the breakwater: The oldie:

Hey Chad....Question? Is the pic of our guys standing in the trench pre 1942 surrender or after we ran up the white flag? The absence of any small arms, etc has me wondering. I do see a lone steel helmet lying on or near the roofing over the dugout. I fret over things like this and on the other hand can't find my car keys or quote my Social Security Number. First things first, I always say. Postscript...I can, after all these years, rattle off my USAF Serial Number post haste. Some things are just emblazoned in one's psyche, I guess.

While on Tailside one afternoon a big dark cloud blew overhead and it started to rain. Since I was passing the Filipino Heroes Memorial at the time I decided to wait a few minutes inside the museum. The last day tour bus was long gone and nobody was around. In the past I had noticed a particular painting there so while waiting I thought I would take a few photos of it to show you. It is called “Reign of Terror in the Philippines”. Since the painting has individual subject panes with small text, I will also label the locations and show close-ups of the text. (The painting is faded so I have increased the photo’s saturation to make it look better) “Reign of Terror in the Philippines” ( text numbered) Number Legend:1 – UST Internment Camp 2 – Bombing of Manila 3 4 5 6 7 8

Hey Fots...Many thanks for more of your usual good stuff. We far removed "geeks" can always depend on 'ole Fots to come thru and keep our "habit" fed. Cheers. Postscript..."the cruelty of the Japanese toward the Filipino people should never be forgotten"etc should also have these words added, in my humble..."nor forgiven". Cheers
