This info has been around a while, back from the days that websites were ruled by expensive bandwidth. Recently I reworked the contents.

Hi EXO
This made very interesting reading. One interesting fact is that the C-47 aircraft carrying the 462nd F.A. all dropped paracrate bundles. Some eight, most nine and several with 10 or eleven bundles. During the first lift, 131 bundles of artillery, machine guns, equipment and ammunition belonging to Battery 'A' and one MG Platoon of Battery 'D' of the 462nd were dropped. For those already on the ground, that's a lot of falling objects to avoid.
Again very interesting reading.
Regards
mgk
