I was analyzing another bunch of captured enemy footages and some yielded interesting ones: That's clearly a US M1917 water-cooled .30 MG with a Japanese gunner. more later...

Heeey... who was this film's director? Who was the military advisor, Dale Dye? (grin) Just a tangent because of all the various comments in other forums about HBO's new series, The Pacific. The first episode showed the marines in Guadalcanal armed with 1903A3 rifles which were not what the marines had at that time, and not even available in 1942. Nice screen cap. Thanks for posting. Is the negative flipped? Wouldn't the ammo box be on the left side?
