Hi AJ,
That works perfectly. Do you also have any photos of scenery or buildings on Corregidor?
Thank-you very much for posting your photos. It is always great to see another persons views of the war there.

That sounds like an amazing collection. You will be making a lot of peoples day.
For me, I look forward to seeing more of what Corregidor used to look like.
Thanks again.

My sincere apologies for the deletion of the pictures.
I have just been informed that some people copy these photo's and sell them on eBay, that's not good at all! and is disrespectful in a big way.
I'm going to post the pictures in a more secure way, give me a bit of time.
Also checking to if any are shared
Thank you

Right O! all good now! My fathers name is Dominick Basso he is marked with an X on the chest. I have a lot of photo's to post in time, I'll start at the beginning. Lets hope people can see there relatives or loved ones, if you see someone you know just let me know and I'll send you a copy, I would like to get some info on the faces and a story a bit of history if possible. Just to keep everyone posted.
I'm working with Paul Whitman on a resolution to better secure the photo's without lowering the quality for the viewer.
Thank you A.J.Basso

From the Basso Collection This is marked "1st Aid Station." Can anyone identify the building?

EXO, The photographer is looking down from the Spanish Lighthouse at the 1st Aid Station. Even thought the Lighthouse was rebuilt in the 50s, this building and the one opposite to it were restored and both exist today. They house the gift shops and toilets for the tour bus crowds that stop at the Lighthouse. Here is a February1945 photo showing the rear of the building in question. The vertical roof beams create four sections to the building. On the front the four sections are supported by double beams along a porch that runs the length of the building. Here is a February 2010 photo of the lighthouse which shows most of this building towards the right. An identical building is to the left. Both buildings have four sections with a porch still supported by double beams.

Bullseye! First on the buzzer! Well spotted Fots2! I won't pretend I had any idea of where it was - until you pointed it out and gave irrefutable proof. It must have been very early on the ops, as the aid station was established fairly soon at the Topside Barracks.
